Read Psalm 91. Psalm 91 is a companion to Psalm 90, which we read a few days ago. Psalm 90 says, “Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations.” Psalm 91 speaks of the person who dwells and rests in that dwelling place. Consider this quote by Spurgeon: “Every child of God looks towards the inner sanctuary and the Mercy Seat, yet all do not dwell in the Most Holy Place; they run to it at times, and enjoy occasional approaches, but they do not habitually reside in the mysterious presence.”
