Ecclesiastes 1-3 – Listen/read and journal. As we’ve been reading through 1 Kings, we’ve seen quite a mess! The richest man in the world, the wisest man – yet in his old age he lets his heart become disloyal to God, worshiping other gods. Most of his kingdom has rebelled against his son, serving another king and worshiping golden calves.

And now we read Ecclesiastes – the account of a man who denied himself nothing, yet discovered all that he had worked to achieve was meaningless.
