1 Samuel 11-12 – Listen as you read in your Bible, underlining or highlighting sections that especially speak to you. Then use those sections to journal your thoughts to God.

1 Samuel 19-21 and Psalm 59 – David is called a “man after God’s own heart.” For the next few weeks, while reading about David’s life, we’ll read Psalms he wrote during those times, showing us his conversations with God. For your journal times, use his raw, powerful, emotion-filled words as you think of enemies (not flesh and blood) you are facing and the mighty God that is your strength.
